The evening before the Meet Magento UK conference, the pre-party organized by ShipperHQ took place at "The Devereux", a quaint British pub. For all Magento Community members, it was a reunion with acquaintances and friends, but the evening also offered newcomers the opportunity to make initial contacts in a relaxed atmosphere. A successful start!
Insightful talks - Adobe Commerce Roadmap, Hyvä & Lighthouse
On Wednesday morning our team went straight to the location “The Mermaid”. After a first tour through the location, good seats were secured in front of the main stage to follow the keynote from close up. Jamie Huskisson, CEO of JH, kicked off the event with an inspirational opening speech, highlighting the importance of growing the Adobe Commerce (Magento) Community and the platform itself. Georgia Scott, Adobe's Head of Solutions Marketing, spoke about Adobe's growth and the increasing popularity of online shopping from a marketing perspective. She also highlighted how the online marketplace thrived during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic and inflation, and how important smartphones are these days when it comes to online shopping. In addition, it was fascinating to learn more about the relevance of AI in the development of Adobe Commerce and the future of commerce.
Then it was on to the technical tracks, where the audience received concentrated knowledge and news about a wide variety of backend, frontend, performance and debugging topics throughout the day. In addition to interesting talks about Hyvä and Google Lighthouse, new technologies were presented in the technical backend presentations, such as a concept for working with Magento without directly involving PHP, which allows for a more visual approach to dealing with plugins and blocks, models, etc .enabled without extensive PHP coding.
The final keynote unveiled an exciting roadmap for Adobe Commerce with advances in AI technologies and tools like Adobe Sensei, Live Search, and product recommendations. The launch of Adobe Firefly, an AI-based content creation tool, further fueled curiosity about future versions of Adobe Commerce
After a long instructive day the after party in the "Core" bar started. Here, too, there was another opportunity to network and exchange ideas about the presentations and the newly gained insights.
Before our team went back home, a little sightseeing was on the agenda. Famous monuments and locations such as Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and Westminster Abbey were visited.

In summary, Meet Magento UK in London was an enriching experience with valuable insights, networking opportunities and the promise of exciting advancements in the world of Adobe Commerce. Many thanks to the organizers, sponsors and participants who made the event possible.
