On December 13th, Meet Commerce Spain was taking place in Madrid, which we were able to support not only as a sponsor, but also with a team on-site. A day full of exciting talks, discussions and valuable input. Let’s look back on a great event.
More than 600 participants from 30 different countries came together in Madrid on December 13th to exchange views on current topics relating to e-commerce and e-commerce technologies at Meet Commerce Spain. The event took place in the MEEU (Madrid Exposiciones y Eventos Urbanos) and, in addition to the exhibitor area, offered two other rooms in which business and technology talks were held.
"It is all about connections"
Ignacio Riesco, CEO of Interactiv4, introduced the day, welcomed the numerous guests and pointed out what the main focus of the event was: "Meet Commerce is about to meet people and to build connections!". Accordingly, the main aim of Meet Commerce was to have inspiring conversations, make new contacts and exchange ideas with like-minded people in the industry. In fact, Meet Commerce Spain was much more than just an event. Rather, this was more a long overdue class reunion of the e-commerce scene.
Many well-known faces and experts of the e-commerce world such as Willem Wigman, Founder and CEO at Hyvä, Karen Baker, Founder and CEO at Shipper HQ or Filip Rakowski, CTO at VueStorefront, whose talk was about e-commerce architecture, were in Spain that day. One or the other had to travel a long way – which, in our opinion, was definitely worth it in the end!
Adobe was also represented with a booth. Diego Perez, Sales Director for Strategic Accounts at Adobe in Spain, together with Manuel Diez, Digital Experience & Platform Expert at Signify, explained to the audience how Signify, as a manufacturer of lighting technology, uses the Adobe Experience Cloud to offer its customers a personalized customer journey on the Adobe Commerce platform. Well prepared for the future, other brands are to be launched soon.
The day was rounded off with the obligatory after party, which took place in a bowling hall next to the event location. Individual teams quickly formed, and with finger food and cold drinks, many good conversations quickly and easily ensued.
Successful networking event
All in all, Meet Commerce Spain was a complete success. The main reason for this was the reunion of many friends from the community as well as the opportunity to have interesting conversations and to network in a pleasant atmosphere. We will soon see one or the other again at one of our Magento Stammtisch events.
With plenty of input, new contacts and exciting ideas to be implemented as soon as possible, the team returned to Stuttgart. Many thanks again to the entire Interactiv4 team for a great event. We look forward to seeing you again soon and to the next event!
