On September 27th 2022, the Magento Community came together once more in Stuttgart to discuss the latest topics and trends in the area of Magento and e-commerce. Kevin Haug, Solutions Consultant at Adobe Commerce EMEA, Stefan Bothner, Director Technology at Y1 and Oleksandr Lyzun, Commerce Technical Team Lead at Comwrap Reply were our guests this time and provided great talks.
Tomorrow’s Commerce landscape: A look into the Adobe crystal ball
What will the future of commerce look like? What challenges and opportunities will arise for merchants, manufacturers and brands over the next few years? The presentation session started with Kevin Haug who answered these and other questions. According to Adobe there are three trends that will significantly influence the future commerce landscape: the Metaverse, AI as well as Composable Commerce.
Adobe App Builder: About basic functionality, features and how it can be used within the Magento space
Following this, Oleksandr Lyzun's presentation focused on a product that was released last year: the Adobe App Builder. Adobe has been trying to move Adobe Commerce (Magento) into a new area of microservices architecture for a number of years. However, it is not easy to adapt the Magento structure to new standards. With the Adobe App Builder, developers should be able to create new services and expand Magento without having to touch the Magento core. However, many developers are not sure how to get started with the product and when to use it. His presentation, which we have made available to you here, brings light into the darkness!
Node-RED as a powerful software platform for integrations
Our third speaker was Stefan Bothner, who was also talking about an interesting and exciting topic. Under the title "System integration in digital commerce with Node-RED", he first explained what the term Node-RED actually means, and then went into more detail about the area of application. The presentation was rounded off with a small practical part, which used individual examples to demonstrate the use of Node-RED for data and system integration. If you want, you can watch his presentation again in full length.
